Farita is graduate from MIT interested in pushing the boundaries of on-body energy harvesting. In high school, she conducted independent research to develop a coastal ocean wave energy harvester capable of generating 5W of power. During her internship at Intel New Devices, she developed an energy harvester that generated 1-2 mW of power from skateboard vibrations. She has also worked as an EE intern at Microsoft Hololens. Most recently, at Microsoft Research, she developed a completely DIY knee energy harvester that can generate an average of 200 mW when walking at 2 mph.

Farita is excited to learn as much as she can from the Conformable Decoders team. Specifically, she hopes to help the lab's efforts to create functional, beautiful, and conformable on-body (both on-skin and on-fabric) energy harvesters.
