Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. During her undergrad, her interests ranged from investigating new soft robotics materials with variable stiffness to researching motor task learning for healthy and prosthetic users. After graduation, Sarah worked for 4 years in San Francisco, California on research and development of new therapeutic ultrasound devices. She was involved in the design, verification, and validation of transcranial ultrasound transducers that were used in first-in-human clinical trials.

At the Conformable Decoders group, she will be involved in the fabrication and validation of implantable ultrasound arrays that can transform the treatment of brain diseases. She is interested in investigating ways of enabling the safe and continuous treatment of chronic conditions.
