Maggie earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering with minors in Materials Engineering, Sustainability Studies, and Philosophy from Auburn University. During her undergrad, her interests ranged from sustainable materials processing to feminist aesthetics. Her primary role was under Prof. Russell W. Mailen where she investigated the effects of recycling on shape memory polymers for in-situ resource utilization.
After graduating, Maggie began her MPhil in Materials Science at the University of Cambridge, where she developed a scalable fabrication technique to develop waveguide-encoded lattices for indoor photovoltaics using slot-die coating under Prof. Rachel C. Evans.
Maggie aims to integrate her background in sustainable materials into the design of conformable, aesthetic wearables that promote both physiological and emotional well-being.
