Fiona Cai is an undergraduate researcher at MIT studying Computer Science and Engineering. She is fascinated by the bridging of computation, engineering, and healthcare, and is specifically interested in exploring the field of medical devices.

Her previous work includes a bioinformatics project at the Brigham and Women’s hospital that leveraged electronic healthcare data to streamline clinical trial recruitment and biostatistics research on improving phenotyping algorithms at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Fiona is looking forward to becoming a part of the Conformable Decoders group and working on research that explores novel materials, device design, and implementing effective, energy harvesting medical devices. She hopes to develop and refine her skills in applied computer science and materials science while conducting research to contribute to the greater healthcare community.
