Dr. Lin Zhang received his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Science and Technology and master’s degree in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. After completing his PhD in Materials Engineering in 2013 at Auburn University, USA, he was involved in research efforts in Materials Engineering at Auburn University, NanoEngineering at UC San Diego, and Electronic Science and Technology at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He joined Prof. Canan Degdeviren’s group at the MIT Media Lab in January of 2019. Dr. Zhang has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles, including Science Advances, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nano Energy, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. His scientific interests include flexible/stretchable electronics, piezoelectric/ferroelectric materials, dielectric composites for energy storage, and green approaches to conducting polymer based nanocomposites.
